Veterans Fire Corps - Corpsmember

The Veterans Fire Corps program provides training and on-the-job experience for recect-era (post 9/11) veterans interested in entering into careers and gaining experience in natural resource management. Participants will get chainsaw certifications, wild land fire certifications, wilderness first aid, CPR, and saw crew experience. All of our certifications are though the forest service or parks service. Project work is focused on the Gulf state region  (MS, AL, FL, TX, LA) . 

Age Requirements: 18-35

Start: January 2018



Think you've got the experience to lead a Vertans Fire Crew? Extensive Chainsaw expereince and ability to teach others how to saw? S-212 Forest Service B-Feller Certification or higher? 1+ seasons of saw work and leading crews expereince?   Check out our Crew Leaders page for VFC Leader positions.
